Virtual Access Guide

Electronic Device VectorWATCH THE PLAYS ON YOUR COMPUTER, TABLET OR SMARTPHONE
Once the viewing window opens, click on the unique staged reading link that was provided in the email you received from Patricia Quinn. Follow any additional instructions regarding virtual entry, such as the use of a password. It is recommended that you copy and paste the password rather than trying to type it in. Passwords are case sensitive.

TO WATCH ON YOUR FLAT SCREEN TV (WITH NO SMART TV CAPABILITIES)
You must have a HDMI cable to connect your laptop to your TV. Once it is connected to the proper plugs, select the correct input source on your TV. This will allow you to mirror the computer screen on your TV. It is strongly recommended that you test this system before the Jewish Repertory Season begins with a video of your choice. More questions, please watch this short video on how to stream using an HDMI.

TO WATCH ON YOUR SMART TV OR TV WITH SMART DEVICE (USING CHROMECAST OR APPLE AIRPLAY OR SCREENCAST)
Make sure your TV is on the same Wi-Fi on your phone or tablet. Open the link to the play that you will receive via email from Patricia Quinn. On the bottom right of the link select the Airplay or Chromecast icon.

MY VIDEO IS FREEZING, BLURRING, OR NOT PLAYING. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Follow these steps:

1) Restart your device (power all the way down, and then restart), then try reconnecting to the movie.

2) If this doesn't work, please run a speed test. Make a note of the results for our tech support team. If your results are 25Mbps or higher, contact Patricia Quinn. In your message, include your name, email address, phone number, a description of the problem, and your speed test result.

3) If your speed test is less than 25Mbps, you may want to consider adding a higher speed of service as you may experience significant buffering or freezing when streaming. 10Mbps is the absolute minimum speed for streaming. With these low speeds, you would still be able to watch, but you will experience significant freezing or buffering.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS AT HOME VIEWING THE PLAY?
If you encounter a problem watching the play(s) at home and have tried the suggestions above with no success, please email: Patricia Quinn.  Please provide your name, email address, phone number, and a brief description of the problem. We will be checking and replying to emails regularly between 10 am through 8pm daily during the run of each staged reading. Our tech team will get back to you as soon as they are able, so please be patient. We recommend that you watch the plays early in the viewing windows so that our team has time to troubleshoot any problems if they arise.

PLEASE NOTE: Online sales for each play will close at 10pm on the final day of the run.

Purchasing Tickets
You have the option to purchase a single ticket for $20, or a season subscription, good for viewing all 5 plays for $80. Please be sure to fill out the ticket order form completely indicating your selections and listing a correct email address and phone number so we are able to communicate and share the links. Be sure to check your email and spam/junk folders for correspondences.

How will I access the plays at home?
Once you purchase your tickets or subscription for the readings you will receive an email receipt and be directed to the confirmation page on the JRT website. Please be sure to use an email that you have full access to and check often. If you do not receive an email be sure to check spam and junk folders. Two hours prior to the start of the screening window you will receive and email from Patricia Quinn with a unique link, password and instructions to access the reading. This link is not to be shared and is only to be used by the ticket purchaser. You will need an email address and reliable internet to participate in the virtual season. Plays can be streamed on any smart devices: a smart TV, a desktop/laptop computer, tablet or even a smart phone. If you have the capacity for phone to tv screen mirroring, that is also an option. For help with streaming, please go to the tech help section.

When will the link for the plays arrive?
The Links for each individual play will arrive via email from Patricia Quinn, 2 hours prior to the start of the film screening window. The email will contain a unique link, password and instruction son how to access the film. For the safety and integrity of our season and subscribers, you must not forward this link to anyone. The link will only be good for the 3 week run. We recommend viewing the play earlier in the run to allow time for troubleshooting or technical difficulties to be addressed. If you don’t see the message containing the link in your inbox, make sure to check your junk/spam folder.

Can the plays be viewed more than one time?
Films can be paused and re-started throughout the viewing window; however, you must use the same device each time you access the screening link. Plays will be available for 3 weeks from the beginning of the screening time. The intent of the single ticket is that members of a household will view together.

Can I purchase tickets or a subscription as a gift for someone outside my household?
YES! The staged readings are a very thoughtful gift. To do this, when you check out, you must enter the recipients email address but your credit card information. Unfortunately, this means that the full payment receipt will go to the recipient, but this is how email addresses are collected for link distribution. We regret the inconvenience, but hope you will still consider giving the gift of theater!
